Community Resilience Building for Countering Violent Extremism is an EU-funded initiative in collaboration with UNODC and NACTA. It empowers youth and community leaders to foster peace, social cohesion, and resilience against extremist ideologies. Through education, leadership training, and awareness campaigns, the project addresses radicalization by promoting critical thinking, digital literacy, and intercultural dialogue. Community leaders are equipped to counter extremist narratives and strengthen cooperation between civil society and policymakers. By fostering inclusivity and positive engagement, the initiative builds safer, more resilient communities, ensuring a sustainable approach to preventing violent extremism and promoting long-term peace.
Is there a stipend or salary for members of the Resilient Youth Parliament?
The Resilient youth parliament is a membership-based project. It is not an employment or internship opportunity for Youth; therefore, there is no salary or stipend to be paid to those who are selected as members.
What will I do once I join Resilient Youth Parliament?
Members of 1st RYP will learn to carve pathways to professional success through knowledge, intellectual curiosity, empathy, and innovation that builds on individual achievements to address local, national, regional, and global challenges. RYP members will also be assigned work such as developing committee reports, a report on the status of development in their constituency or on the performance of their parliamentarians in that particular constituency.
